Continuing Medical Education (CME)
The 9th EADV Spring Symposium is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide the following CME activity for medical specialists.
The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS).
The European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology is designated for a maximum of 6 European CME Credits (ECMEC) for a full day attendance and 3 for half day.
Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
EACCME credits are recognized by the American Medical Association towards the Physician’s Recognition Award (PRA). To convert EACMME credits to AMA PRA category 1 credits, contact the AMA.
You are encouraged to pass by the CME-CPD Checkpoint located next to the Registration Desk if you have any questions.
Procedure
The EADV offers individual CME-CPD participation through the scanning of the bar code on the registration badge. Hostesses will scan the badge as participants pass through the entrance of each session hall. Participants will be required to scan their badge at the entrance for several seconds.
A minimum attendance for half of the session is required to qualify for CME-CPD accreditation of that session and each participant will be accredited only with the actual hours spent in sessions as recorded by the scanning process.
Participants will be logged out of the session when scanning their registration badge as leaving the session hall.
A speaker/session evaluation form will be available as you enter each session hall and should be completed and deposited with the hostesses when you leave. The form is only available at the time of the session.
Evaluation data is essential to our statistics and is of considerable help in the choice of future topics and speakers. Your feedback and comments are greatly appreciated.
Certification and Personal Speaker Evaluation Data
CME certificates will be available to download for a period of one year from www.EADVVerona2012.org for processing with the national authority in your country of practice.
It will be possible to change and modify your address if desired. The remainder of the certificate is write-protected.
For the download you will need to enter your registration number (which appears on your badge) as well as your family name. Certificates will not be mailed and copies will not be available after the one-year cutoff.
Speakers will be given access to their personal evaluation data, collected from the completed evaluation forms, upon request from the EADV. All data is treated confidentially and is generally available several months after the event. It is also envisaged to publish the top ten sessions in the EADV News.
Please refer to the national CME-CPD authority in your country of practice for the exchange of CME-CPD credits/points.
